Haynes Lose: 28 - 49
I took a lot of good things away from this lost. We fought until the end. In fact we won the second half 21 to 12. Also it did inspire our young player to start a much needed workout schedule for the off season. We will miss our seniors who help build this program from the ground up. They represented the school well and themselves as well. Kenneth Stancell Jr. is the school's all time leading scorer, rebounder, shot blocker, assist and minutes played. Renard Joyner and Lance McCrann.

This was such a big win for us tonight in many ways. Winning in the playoff is the biggest win of a team's season, we also gave our fans a great memory that they will have until next season, our seniors will have those memories as they will remember that win and the excitement forever and it will generate the interest of our young student athletes to want to be apart of this in the future, which was the goal in the beginning. We were led tonight by Jeo (19 pts.), KJ (9 pts, 11 rebs) Eddy(11 pts) also Eddy scored the winning basket.

After winning our last two games I thought we had some momentum going in to tonight's game. Although we did feel good with our approach to the game we were still bitten by our TOs again. We can win shooting a bad % or having a lot of TOs but not both in the same game. We had both and still only lost by 1 point again. The fact is, we will always lose close games with these amount of TOs. We were led by Jeo with 26 pts. KJ 14 pts 14 rebs. 4 blks, Chidi added 13 pts

We got back to what has been the key for us all season and that is defense and few turnovers. We were led by Rashad Joyner with 13 pts, KJ had 8 pts and 8 big rebs and Lance, Chidi And Renard added 6, Eddy(7 pts.) We will try to sweep the back to back contest with Richard Wright tomorrow night.

We had our second OT game in a row and unfortunately we lost at the buzzer by one. We must improve on finishing games and making better decisions down the stretch. We were led tonight in scoring by Jeo (23pts, 3 stls), Eddy(19pts) KJ (15 reb. 6 blks) Rashad had 9 rebs.

We had our first overtime game of the season as we lost a hard fought game 51 to 45. Since the blizzard we have yet to get back on the winning track however we will try to turn it around against Richard Wright in a makeup game Wednesday.

Our team learned a great lesson from tonight's game vs Paul. That lesson is that when you are on top, teams are going to bring their A game when they play us. We played really good defense against a team that has improved a lot since we played them last. We will do shooting drills and review tomorrow as we prepare for Seed on Saturday at 3:00 pm at Seed.

We had many reasons to make excuses for tonight's game if we did not win. However the team approached the game with the mind set to win and deep in the 3rd quarter and down only 5 it looked like we may pull off the upset. But they outlasted us to night. We get back to conference play tomorrow at Paul.

After a huge defensive performance against Kipp DC at home, we wanted to continue to play well on the road with no let down against another conference team. Led by KJ with his best performance of the season (22 pts., 15 rebs.5 block shots) we were able to hold off Wash. Math Science and improve to 5 and 0 in league play. Jeo had 15 pts. as he continued his hot outside shooting. Lance with his second straight start added 7 and a really good off the bench performances by Adrian as he contributed 7 also. We will host Option on Tuesday at home at a 5:30 pm game time.

The Mountain lions had their best defensive game of the season holding Kipp DC to only 11 pts. tonight Led by Jeo with 20 pts., KJ 7 pts. and 8 rebs.4 blocks and a crowd pleasing dunk, Rashad 8 pts., Chidi 7 pts. Renard and Lance also added 6 pts and Eddy with 5. We will need another performance like this Thursday against Wash Math Science.

After a big league win last night at home against Paul PCS we decided to take on a huge last minute scheduled out of league challenge by city prep leading National Collegiate. I didn't want us to lose any confidence by playing this game. And I was very impress with the the fight and the determination that the team showed. We lost the game 57 to 43, however it was closer than that and I know that this team grew a lot tonight and we are headed in the right direction. We were led by Jeo with 17 pts., Renard 10, Rashad, KJ and Chidi had 5 each.

Haynes Win: 62 - 47
We really wanted this game tonight and we needed players to improve their play to the level we thought they could perform going into the season. KJ got into foul trouble early and Renard and Rashad did a great job on the boards. After not starting the game Jeo came off the bench to have his best game of the season and a game and season high 32 points to lead EL Haynes to a 62 to 47 win and raised our record to 6 and 4 on the season. This was also a very good defensive game by the Mountain lions.

After a good first day of the tournament finishing 1 and 1, we faced a good team to play against for the championship. We played them very well, in fact we lead the game 50% of the time. But just couldn't make enough plays down the end to close the deal. But we had a lot of good play from several players and grew as a team and we are ready to get back to league play Tuesday.
