Ken Stancell

Boys JV Basketball
Coach Stancell has an amazing collegiate career at Virginia Commonwealth University. He was recently inducted to the VCU Hall of Fame. Stancell is most remembered for leading the Rams to their first ever NCAA Tournament victory over Long Island University in 1982. In that game he scored 22 points and grabbed 11 rebounds. He ended his senior season averaging 14.4 points per game and grabbing 8 rebounds per contest.
Upon graduation, he was drafted by the Golden State Warriors in the 1982 NBA Draft. He then continued his playing career overseas before coming back to the states. He begins his first season on the E.L. Haynes sideliness.
