First game of the season for junior varsity was well played. If you didn’t come out to see the game you missed a great game. Although Haynes didn’t win, this is only the beginning of the season there is so much more to come and a lot of room for improvement. Haynes Junior varsity played Montrose Christian Academy. The game was close through all four quarters.

Junior varsity was down by only three points until the second half of the game, Haynes players really started to heat up. The three-point lead by Montrose was slowly closed. Haynes then took the lead in the fourth quarter. Then after eleventh Joe Samson fouled out of the game, it seemed the team started to lose hope, and motivation. Montrose then came back.

All players did well but eleventh grader D. Herbert, had fourteen points, the game MVP (Most Valuable Player). Although D. Herbert had  fourteen points, the entire team contributed to awesome defense that was consistent through out the entire game. The final score was 32-42.
